Cookie Policy

saveto.me uses a limited set of essential cookies and browser storage to keep accounts secure and remember product choices.

Effective and last updated: August 11, 2026

1. Overview

Cookies are small text values stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Similar technologies, including local storage, retain information in your browser without being sent automatically with every request. This policy explains how saveto.me uses both.

No advertising cookies. saveto.me does not currently use cookies for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking. Because the current cookies are strictly necessary to provide requested account and security functions, the Service does not display a consent banner merely for those essential cookies.

2. Cookies used by the Service

Session cookie

Keeps a signed-in session associated with the correct account. It is protected with Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite attributes and is currently configured for a maximum of 30 days.

OAuth state cookie

Temporarily protects the sign-in flow against request forgery and preserves onboarding context. It is protected with Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite attributes and expires after approximately 10 minutes.

3. Local browser storage

The application uses local storage and related browser capabilities to retain library state, unsynchronized local changes, interface preferences, selected theme and accent, privacy mode, import state, and synchronization metadata. Some local information may remain on a device after sign-out so it can be recovered if synchronization fails; a full sign-out or account-deletion flow may provide options to clear it.

4. Third parties

Identity providers and Cloudflare may set or use their own cookies when you interact with their services, security checks, or sign-in pages. Those technologies are governed by the relevant provider's policies. saveto.me does not control cookies set on third-party websites that you save or open.

5. Your controls

You can inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and synchronized account features from working correctly. Clearing local storage may remove unsynchronized local data or reset preferences, so export or synchronize important information first.

6. Changes and contact

If analytics, personalization, or advertising technologies are introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before they are used. Questions may be submitted through the Contact page.
